Francois Bogaert - International Soloist, Artist Antoine Courtois, Arranger – Orchestrator

Born in northern France, François began his musical journey under the watchful eye of his family at the local music school. He naturally chose the trombone and quickly joined the Lille Conservatory in Christian Bogaert's class. Alongside his trombone studies, François also began learning percussion, double bass, piano, and orchestration. He also took courses in analysis and conducting at the Douai Regional Conservatory (CRR) with Pierre Vigneron.

François is increasingly sought after for his talent as an arranger. In addition to his already extensive catalog, he regularly collaborates with numerous ensembles such as Coups de Vents Wind Orchestra, The Five Brass Quintet, Lille Trombone Festival, No Limit Orchestra, FilmHarmonic Brass, and Paris 2024. He also directed his first advertising campaign, "Let it glow," for the renowned brand Christofle in November 2025. He is a member of ASMAC (American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers) and founded his own publishing house, francoisbogaerteditions.com, in 2017.

After receiving gold medals at the Lille and Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatories, François was admitted to the Paris Conservatory (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris) in the class of Giles Millière. However, he ultimately pursued his musical studies in Lyon after being accepted into the class of Michel Becquet. After earning his Bachelor's degree in 2013, François obtained his Master's degree in June 2015 with a thesis entitled "Silly Symphony of Walt Disney." He also received numerous awards in orchestration and film music.

In 2015, François was admitted to the prestigious University of Southern California Thornton in Los Angeles for a program specializing in orchestral performance, studying with Terry Cravens and in orchestration. For over two years, he had the opportunity to work in one of the world's most eclectic musical environments, alongside leading orchestral and studio musicians and renowned film composers. He will graduate with honors in May 2017. #Fighton

After a concert with the USC Thornton Symphony at Walt Disney Concert Hall and a fantastic Alpine Symphony, François became an Antoine Courtois USA artist.

Since returning to France, François has taught trombone at the Cambrai Conservatory.

He regularly works with the Lille National Orchestra, Downey Symphony, Beverly Hills Symphony, Lyon National Orchestra, Paris Opera Orchestra, and the Socal Brass Consortium, and collaborates as principal trombone with the Rouen Normandy Opera.

He also serves as a rehearsal pianist for the orchestras performing at Disneyland Paris.

Since 2018, François has had the opportunity to tour regularly, representing the French school of trombone with his Trombone and Marimba Duo, performing a program of French music in America, Europe, and Asia.

He has been a member of the Qu4tre à 4 Quartet since 2017.
