The Creation 421 New York Tenor Trombone was designed in collaboration with Weston Sprott, trombonist at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
This model, a descendant of the Legend, features a specially redesigned leadpipe and slide. It is also equipped with ergonomic hand rests.

For the first time in the history of Antoine Courtois trombones, the bell of this instrument is detachable. This allows it to be transported in a flat case, barely larger than a violin case. The ring for aiming the bell gives it a more focused sound with excellent projection, which greatly impressed Weston Sprott.
